Michael Shannon in Negotiations to Join Knives Out Cast

Variety reports that Michael Shannon is in talks to join the cast of the upcoming ensemble film, Knives Out. Chris Evans and Daniel Craig are currently attached to star in the film.

Shannon would join the cast alongside Craig, Evans, and Lakeith Stanfield. MRC is financing the picture, which Rian Johnson will write, direct and produce with his producing partner Ram Bergman.

Plot details on the project are still vague, but it’s described as a modern-day murder mystery similar to an Agatha Christie whodunit style. It’s not yet clear who Shannon might play.

A studio is not yet attached to distribute the project. MRC plans to package the film out to buyers in the coming weeks. Shooting is expected to start later this November.
