MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnel has taken to Twitter to apologize for an off-air rant at his crew over technical difficulties that leaked online. O’Donnell posted to Twitter to say, “A better anchorman and a better person would’ve had a better reaction to technical difficulties. I’m sorry.”

Mediaite released an eight-minute video on Wednesday that showed the MSNBC host going off on his staff over what appeared to be an earpiece malfunction. He went on an expletive-ridden rant at his staff, saying, “Someone in that control room is out of control.”

After hearing the sound of hammering outside the studio, O’Donnell yelled, “Stop the hammering out there! Who’s got a hammer? Where is it? Where’s the hammer? “Go up on the other floor! Somebody go up on there and stop the hammering! Stop the hammering!”
