Finally, the Rock is coming back to broadcast television…in a younger form. NBC unveiled their fall schedule on Tuesday and announced that Young Rock, a comedy series based on Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s life growing up, will debut at mid-season per TV Line.

The series will feature Johnson appearing in all eleven episodes of the first season and is wirtten by Nahnatchka Khan (Fresh Off the Boat) and Jeff Chaing. It is produced by Universal Television, Johnson’s Seven Bucks Productions and Khan’s Fierce Baby Productions.

NBC ordered the show straight to series in January.
