As previously reported, Netflix revealed its first official look at Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher TV series. Now, the official Netflix Poland Twitter account has revealed the rest of the cast for the show, including major characters fans will recognize, such as Triss Merigold. You can check out the full list of casting announcements below.

Eamon Farren – Cahir
Joey Batey – Jaskier
Lars Mikkelsen – Stregobor
Royce Pierreson – Istredd
Maciej MusiaÅ‚ – Sir Lazlo
Wilson Radjou-Pujalte – Dara
Anna Shaffer – Triss Merigold
Rebecca Benson – Marilka
Shane Attwooll – Nohorn

These cast members join the show alongside Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, Freya Allan as Cirilla Fiona Elen Riannon, and Anya Chalotra as Yennefer.

The main takeaways from the list are Anna Shaffer as Triss Merigold and Joey Batey as Jaskier. Jaskier is better known to fans of The Witcher game series as Dandelion. The character’s original Polish name is actually Jaskier. However, it was later translated into “Dandelion” for the books and video games.

Another notable bit of casting is Lars Mikkelsen (Sherlock, Star Wars Rebels), who plays the sorcerer Stregobor. Stregobor was a prominent character in “The Lesser Evil” short story collected in The Last Wish.

The Witcher is based on the book series of the same name by Sapkowski. It later inspired a series of acclaimed games by CD Projekt RED, including the award-winning seminal game title, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Lauren Schmidt Hissrich (Daredevil, The Defenders) is serving as executive producer and showrunner for the series alongside executive producer Alik Sakharov (House of Cards, Game of Thrones). Physical production on the upcoming TV series is slated to start soon.

The show is expected to debut on Netflix later in 2019 with eight episodes for the first season. All eight episodes will be available on the streaming service at launch.
