New Insidious Film Set For August 2025 Release
Sony is bringing another Insidious film to the big screen next summer. Deadline reports that the studio has announced an August 29th, 2025 release date for the next film in the horror series.
Details on the film are not yet known, though the site has confirmed that it is not the spinoff film Thread: An Insidious Tale, which was first revealed in May of last year. That film will be directed and written by Jeremy Slater and stars Kumail Nanjiani and Mandy Moore.
The most recent film in the franchise, Insidious: The Red Door, was directed by franchise star Patrick Wilson and grossed $186.3 million worldwide against a budget of just $16 million. That film seemingly concluded the saga of the Lambert family as depicted in the first two films and Red Door, though a post-credits scene did tease the potential for the “Lipstick-Face Demon” to make a return from the Further.
