Warning: A potential spoiler follows for Disney+’s Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier doesn’t arrive on Disney+ until next year, but a new toy may have spoiled a plot point. A post to Instagram by the MCU Collectors account has revealed that the Marvel MiniMates for the series has apparently hit stores and that despite being handed the shield at the end of Avengers: Endgame, Sam Wilson is not being listed as Captain America.

Instead, as you can see below, John F. Walker is named as Cap in a two-pack with The Winter Soldier. Walker is better known as U.S. Agent and will be played by Wyatt Russell in the new series.

The move is not comics-inappropriate, of course. U.S. Agent had a run of Captain America in the late 1980s after Steve Rogers walked away from the costume.

The series also stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, and Daniel Bruhl — all reprising their roles as Sam Wilson, Bucky Barnes, Sharon Carter, and Helmut Zemo — along with Russell, Miki Ishikawa, Desmond Chiam, Carl Lumbly Danny Ramirez, and Noah Mills. The show will arrive in 2021 on Disney+.
