Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins believes that DC should wait a while before diving back into the Justice League pool. Jenkins spoke with THR for a new interview and, while talking about her plans for a potential third Wonder Woman, said that she hopes DC holds off on a team-up movie so that the solo films can take priority.

“The Justice League movie, I find those movies to be extremely challenging,” she said. “I think they are fantastic when they are well done. But taking on all of those characters at the same time in the timeline … I sort of hope that we don’t do a Justice League movie for a little while, because I’m excited to see all of their movies. I want to see Aquaman 2, I want to see Flash.”

The good news for Jenkins is that this appears to be the plan. Warner Bros. Chairman Toby Emmerich said earlier this month that the plan was to focus less on a shared universe, noting they will “take it one movie at a time. Each movie is its own equation and own creative entity.”

Jenkins wrapped principal photography on Wonder Woman 1984 last month. The film is set to release on June 5th, 2020.
