Paul Blackthorne Leaving Arrow After Six Seasons

TVline reports that Paul Blackthorne will not be returning as a series regular for season seven of Arrow, which was recently renewed by the CW. Blackthorne is expected to depart at the end this season. The season will conclude on May 17.
Blackthorne plays Quentin Lance, the former police detective turned interim mayor. He has been both against and on the same side as Oliver Queen over the years. Recently he took over as mayor after Queen was impeached, only to get approached by season six big bad Ricardo Diaz. It remains to be seen where his story goes from here.
Blackthorne’s departure follows the exit of Willa Holland, who plays Thea Queen.
