Peacock Developing Grimm Reboot Film

Peacock is bringing NBC’s supernatural drama Grimm back to life as a reboot film. Variety reports that the streaming platform is developing a “feature-length reboot” of the drama, which ran for seven seasons on NBC. Josh Berman (Drop Dead Diva) is writing and executive producing the show alongside original showrunners Greenwalt and Jim Kouf and original executive producers Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner.

Grimm was set in Portland, Oregon and starred David Giuntoli as Nick Burkhardt, a Portland PD homicide detective who learns he is a guardian charged to protect the balance between mankind and supernatural people who secretly live side by side with humanity. It ran from 2011 through 2017 and also starred Silas Weir Mitchell, Russell Hornsby, Bitsie Tulloch, Sasha Roiz, and Bree Turner.
