Playboy Mansion To Host Premiere Party For Once Upon A Time in Hollywood

TMZ reports that the Playboy Mansion will play host to the premiere party for Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, which shot scenes there. The after-party from the premiere does not have a date yet, but the film is set to arrive in theaters on July 26, 2019. The crew shot parts of the film at the mansion for three days.

Mansion owner Daren Metropoulos said: “After Quentin reached out to me and I spent some time understanding his vision for the film, I knew there was a special opportunity to collaborate together and feature the mansion in this thrilling project. The timing was excellent as the property has already begun to transform back to its original grandeur and has never looked more impressive.”

Tarantino previously held the video release party for Kill Bill: Vol. 1 at the Mansion in 2004. The party will be the first major event held there since Hugh Hefner’s death last year. Metropoulos purchased the estate a year before that for $100 million, and was cleared to start major repairs. It’s possible the place may be named a historic monument.
