Marvel is developing its shortlist of potential actors for the lead role in Shang-Chi, and it includes a Power Ranger and a Shazam alum. That Hashtag Show reports that Ludi Lin (Power Rangers, Aquaman) and Ross Butler (Shazam!) are being eyes as possibilities for the role. It’s important to note that there are more names expected to be added to the list over the next few weeks.

In addition, the site says Marvel hopes to meet with Honk Kong action icon Donnie Yen for an as-yet-unknown role in the film. Yen is best known for his roles in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the Ip Man series, and Zhang Yimou’s Oscar-nominated wuxia epic Hero. Previous reports have suggested that Marvel was looking for Asian actors to play a “wise, old statesman and one of his deadliest warriors”; Yen would be a distinct possibility for the statesman role.

Shang-Chi is set to be directed by Destin Cretton and is expected to shoot in New South Wales. Marvel has not yet officially announced the film, nor any film past Spider-Man: Far From Home.
