It’s been a long seven years since World War Z overcame some hefty odds to become a box office hit, but there’s still hope for a sequel. Jeremy Kleiner, who produced the Brad Pitt-starring film, spoke with THR after receiving the David O. Selznick Achievement Award at the Producers Guild Awards and said that they’re still planning to make the delayed sequel.

“Someday,” Kleiner said when asked. “We love Max Brooks’ book. We love the universe of it. It doesn’t feel like the World War Z [world] is done and over with.”

The first film was based on the Max Brook novel and starred Pitt as former U.N. investigator Gerry Lane, who finds himself amidst the zombie apocalypse. Gerry leads a worldwide search to find the source of the infection and, with luck, a way to halt its spread. The film had a ton of negative buzz and escalating shots due to extensive reshoots but ultimately became a success with $540 million worldwide against a $190 million budget.
