Producers Guild Award Nominees Announced: Wonder Woman, Get Out, More

The Producers Guild of America have announced nominees for the Producers Guild Awards. Wonder Woman and Get Out were among the nominees for the 29th annual awards, which also include the likes of The Shape of Water, Dunkirk and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

The Producers Guild Awards are often major forecasters for what films may be Best Picture nominees at the Oscars due to the prevalence of PGA members in the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences. The PGA has matched the Best Picture Academy Award for nineteen out of twenty-eight years to date, though it notably didn’t predict the last two years. 2017 saw the PGA go to La La Land while Moonlight won the Oscar, while 2016 saw The Big Short win PGA while Spotlight won the Oscar.
