Production Begins On Blumhouse’s Halloween Reboot

Blumhouse Productions has announced on Twitter that production for the new Halloween reboot started today.

The film is expected to ignore every film in the series except for the original 1978 classic. The new film will be directed by David Gordon Green from a script he wrote with Danny McBride. It features the return of Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, while Judy Greer will play her daughter Karen and Andi Matichak will play Laurie’s granddaughter. Both Nick Castle and James Jude Courtney will play the Shape. John Carpenter will score the film and executive produce with Malek Akkad (Trancas), Jason Blum (Blumhouse), Green and McBride (Rough House Pictures), along with Zanne Devine and David Thwaites for Miramax, which is co-financing. The film arrives on October 19, 2018.
