A Remake of Nicole Kidman’s The Others Is In the Works

Yet another horror film is getting the remake treatment in Nicole Kidman’s 2001 ghost story flick The Others. Deadline reports that Sentient Entertainment has aqcuired the remake rights to the film, which was directed by Alejandro Amenabar and grossed $207.8 million worldwide on a budget of $17 million.

The film starred Kidman as a widow in World War II Britain whose children suffer from a photosensitive disease. When she hires three servants, a series of strange haunting occurrences start happening that speaks toward a horrifying secret.

According to the site, the plan is to “reinvent and modernize the story,” with significant interest from name talent.
