Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City Spencer Mansion

New set pics are online for the Resident Evil reboot, offering a creepy look at Spencer Mansion and more. You can see the photos below, which reveal a portion of the mansion and shots of the crashed S.T.A.R.S. helicopter that is part of the first game’s story.

The reboot is a reimagining of the franchise with Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down) writing and directing the film. He has said that his film will hew closer to the story of the video game than Paul W.S. Anderson’s, which started as a loose adaptation and became much looser as the sequels progressed. Roberts has described the film as more of a horror film than the Anderson franchise’s action stylings. It will be set in Raccoon City in 1998, where the Umbrella Corporation unleashes a plague upon the world leaving it up to a select group of people to stop them.

The new film is set to release next year and stars Kaya Scodelario as Claire Redfield, Hannah John-Kamen as Jill Valentine, Robbie Amell as Chris Redfield, Tom Hopper as Albert Wesker, Avan Jogia as Leon S. Kennedy, Neal McDonough as William Birkin, and Donal Logue as Chief Irons. Chad Rook and Lily Gao have also joined the film in supporting roles.
