Willie Geist recently interviewed actor Robert Pattinson for Today, and Pattinson discussed how excited he is about portraying the role of Batman/Bruce Wayne for the new film for director Matt Reeves. Below are some highlights and some clips of the interview. The film is currently slated for a June 25, 2021 release.

Robert Pattinson on how much he loves the character: “I love the kind of history of the part. I love every iteration of how it’s been played. I love — It’s a very, very special part. I think it’s been very carefully… what’s the word? I don’t know. I feel like everyone’s really looked after the character and its history, and there’s a lot of reverence for it. You can really feel it in the studio. You can’t say no to it, and I really wanted to say yes.”

Pattinson on what he does to get ready for the role: “Yeah, it does take a few little things. But, I mean, it’s cool. I think Matt Reeves has a really good direction for it. I’m just very kind of eager to get started on it.”
