The Walt Disney Company and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson announced this week that he will be creating and producing a new documentary series about Disney Parks and attractions for the Disney+ streaming service called Behind the Attraction. Johnson will be producing the show alongside Dany Garcia under their Seven Bucks Productions and the Nacelle Company. The Rock also posted about the story on Instagram this week, which you can see below.

Excited for @sevenbucksprod to produce this @Disney magic As life long fans of Disney parks and attractions, we’re excited (and honored) to pull the curtain back and showcase the ideas, secrets and advancements of the most beloved Disney attractions in the world. Thank you Disney and Imagineers for the trust to allow Seven Bucks to tell your story. Every magical #BehindTheAttraction detail awaits. #SevenBucksProds #NacelleCompany #DisneyPlus #DISNEY

The show is going to be a deep dive into the world of beloved Disney Parks attractions and destinations from all over the world. The Rock will also star in the upcoming film The Jungle Cruise based on the famous Disney theme park attraction. The film arrives in theaters on July 24, 2020. Here’s what The Rock had to say on Behind the Attraction:

“Since 1955, when Disneyland first opened its doors, the rides and attractions have been impacting generations in such a fun and magical way around the world. This first-of-its-kind series will bring you behind the scenes to experience and celebrate how these beloved attractions creatively came to be. Hope to make Walt and the ‘mouse house’ proud with this one.”

The show will be a 10-episode series, and it will debut exclusively on the Disney+ streaming service.
