The Rock Confirms That Hobbs & Shaw 2 Is In Development

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson confirmed during a recent Instagram Live Q&A (h/t Screen Rant) that Hobbs & Shaw 2 is in development.

“We are developing now the next film, the next [Hobbs & Shaw] movie, and I’m pretty excited about it,” he said, noting that he and the rest of the crew now just, “gotta figure out the creative right now, and the direction we’re going to go.”

While not as successful as other Fast & Furious films, Hobbs & Shaw was still a box office hit, so it’s no surprise that a sequel is in the works. It’s expected that the mysterious villain from the first film, the director of the Eteon organization, will be back in the sequel.
