A rumored casting call has seemingly revealed details on the lead roles for the upcoming HBO Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon. Knight Edge Media reports that a casting call has gone out with details on the three main roles, one of whom is King Aegon Targaryen.

It is important to note that HBO has not confirmed these details and that they’re just rumors at this point. That said, the character descriptions are accurate to George R.R. Martin’s Fire and Blood which is being used as source material for the series, which is set 300 years before Game of Thrones and begins the tale of Targaryen’s downfall. The role breakdowns are as follows:

Aegon Targaryen
20s, Caucasian Male. Married his two sisters VISENYA and RHAENYS. Withdrawn, quiet, pious. Harsh with those who defy him. Riding the dragon Balerion. LEAD

Visenya Targaryen
20s, Caucasian Female. Older sister and wife of King AEGON TARGARYEN. A voluptuous, stern, serious, and unforgiving woman. Riding the dragon Vhagar. LEAD

Rhaenys Targaryen
20s, Caucasian Female. Youngest sister of King AEGON TARGARYEN. Kindhearted, graceful, playful, curious, impulsive, and given to flights of fancy, with a mischievous aspect to her personality. Riding the dragon Meraxes. LEAD

HBO boss Casey Bloys said earlier this month during the TCA winter press tour of the series that “My suspicion is it will be on the air sometime in 2022.”
