Russo Brothers Say Disney Had No Issue With Avengers: Infinity War Ending

The Russo Brothers have revealed that they had no pushback from Disney over the bleak ending of Avengers: Infinity War. The directing duo spoke with Deadline and were asked about whether Disney had any pushback over the ending, which saw much of the Marvel Cinematic Universe disintegrate into dust after Thanos’ snap (aka the Decimation).

Joe Russo responded, “We did not. They were incredibly encouraging of the choices we made.”

Anthony added, “The only way to drive a conversation is to surprise people. If you’re constantly adhering to convention, you’re not going to surprise people.”
