The Huffington Post recently spoke to Avengers: Infinity War Joe and Anthony Russo about offscreen character deaths in film. For fans who are wondering, he revealed characters who died offscreen and also remained alive after the devastating climax of Avengers: Infinity War. You can find out who died and survived the onslaught across the MCU, but you didn’t see in the film, below.

It should be noted the Russos kept some of the answers close to the vest because the answer was too much of a spoiler, since some characters are more important than others. However, their fates were still unknown at the end of the film.

Howard the Duck: “He survived.”

Jane Foster: [Status Unknown] “When we say spoiler, [we mean] potential spoiler.”

The Asgardian actor (Matt Damon) who played Loki in Thor: Ragnarok: “Did not survive.” [Not clear how and when he might’ve died, but the implication is he died due to Thanos using the gauntlet.]

Betty Ross (Liv Tyler): “Gone.” [Liv Tyler has not appeared as Betty Ross since 2008’s The Incredible Hulk.]

Korg and Miek: “Spoiler.”

Shuri: “Spoiler.”

Lady Sif: “Gone.” [Jamie Alexander didn’t appear in Thor: Ragnarok either, and her whereabouts were unknown there and during Infinity War.]

Ned Leeds: “Spoiler.”

Aunt May (Marisa Tomei): “Safe.”

Going by the Russo Brothers statements, Howard the Duck and Aunt May are both alive. However, Lady Sif and Betty Ross were both apparently evaporated by Thanos using the Infinity Gauntlet. While Betty Ross hasn’t appeared in an MCU feature for 10 years, William Hurt did appear as her father, General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, in Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War.
