Deadline reports that Scoot McNairy has joined the cast of Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time in Hollywood. He will play a cowboy named Business Bob Gilbert, a character in the Western TV show that airs in the time the film is set.

He joins a large ensemble cast that includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Damian Lewis, Al Pacino, Luke Perry, Emile Hirsch, Dakota Fanning, Clifton Collins, Keith Jefferson, Nicholas Hammond, Margot Robbie, Burt Reynolds, Timothy Olyphant, James Marsden, Julia Butters. It will be released by Sony Pictures on August 9, 2019, the 50th anniversary of Manson Family murders and the day after actress Sharon Tate was killed.

Here’s a synopsis: Takes place in Los Angeles in 1969, at the height of hippy Hollywood. The two lead characters are Rick Dalton (DiCaprio), the former star of a western TV series, and his longtime stunt double, Cliff Booth (Pitt). Both are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they no longer recognize. But Dalton has a very famous next-door neighbor … Sharon Tate.
