Scott Baio Won’t Be Charged In Nicole Eggert Sexual Abuse Case
We reported back in January that Charles in Charge star Nicole Eggert claimed that Scott Baio molested her during the filming of the show, while she was between the ages of fourteen and seventeen. Baio denied the claims and Eggert filed a police report in February. Now USA Today reports that the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office will not file charges due to the fact that the statute of limitations has expired.
Eggert had claimed that Baio stuck his fingers in her when she was fourteen, then had sex with her when she was seventeen. Baio claimed they only had sex when she turned eighteen. Eggert wasn’t the only one to make claims against Baio. Co-star Alexander Polinsky has claimed that Baio assaulted and mentally tortured him.
Eggert reacted to the news on Twitter:
Dismissed due to Statute of Limitation = GUILTY. Period.
