SEGA has joined the growing list of video game companies moving to adapt their films to the big screen. Variety reports that the company has brought on Evan Cholfin to be the head of development and production at Stories International, a joint venture of SEGA and ad agency Hakuhodo DY Group. Stories International was created to produce films, TV shows and entertainment for digital platforms.

The company is currently moving ahead with English live-action and animated adaptations of their games that will include Altered Beast, Streets of Rage, Shinobi, Rise of Nightmares, and Crazy Taxi. Virtua Fighter and Golden Axe could also be brought into their plans. Which properties will hit which mediums (film, TV or digital series) isn’t yet known.
