Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg to Revive American Gladiators

Seth Rogen and his producing partner Evan Goldberg are set to revive American Gladiators, according to a new report. according to Deadline, the two are set to serve as executive producers on the athletic competition series revival with original producer Joe Ferraro involved. MGM TV is looking for a distributor currently.

The original series served as the prototype for shows like American Ninja Warrior and ran from 1989 to 1996, pitting contestants against a roster of flashily-named cast members in physical challenges and obstacle courses. The show wqas revived previously a couple times, notably in 2008 with Hulk Hogan and Laila Ali hosting.
