Sky Atlantic is suspending its social media accounts tonight in order to give its subscribers one less place to worry about having the Game of Thrones finale spoiled. The British distributor of the HBO series took to Twitter to urge fans not to spoil tonight’s finale of the series, and further added a statement that they will be going dark on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

Sky Atlantic’s statement reads:

It has been an amazing ride of the last eight seasons. We have lived and loved every moment with you, but ou watch will soon end. At 2am the final ever episode airs. We know that not all of you can stay up to watch live, and want you to enjoy that moment in your own time.

We’re stepping away from social media from midnight for 24h and suspending our own accounts on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.

Please, no spoilers.

Of course, there is another option; they could just not post spoilers. But this works too. Game of Thrones’ final episode airs tonight at 9 PM ET/PT on HBO in the US.
