Peter Parker is back in action as Spider-Man 3 has begun filming in New York City, and the first look at the film has been teased for this year. Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Executive Marketing Director for Brazil Camila Pacheco confirmed at a virtual presentation during ExpoCine 2020 (per Murphy’s Multiverse) that filming has begun on the movie. Pacheco also said that the first look at the film will be coming in December.

The site notes that Pacheco alternated between calling the first look a “teaser” and “preview” so it’s not clear exactly what form this “first look” will take. But the fact that production has begun confirms sightings earlier this month of signs in Queens asking people to move vehicles due to a film shoot for Serenity Now, the MCU film’s working title.

Tom Holland is back for the new film and will be joined by Benedict Cumberbatch (Dr. Strange) and Jamie Foxx, reprising his role from the Andrew Garfield films as Electro. Plot details are under wraps for the movie, which is currently set to release on December 17th, 2021.
