The next Spider-Man film has an official release date and director, with a summer 2026 premiere set. Deadline reports that Sony’s as-yet-untitled fourth film in the franchise will arrive on July 24th, 2026.

The report notes that Destin Daniel Cretton is now on board as a director. Crettin has been in talks to direct the film for a while, taking over from Jon Watts who directed the last three films. Tom Holland will reprise his role as Peter Parker in the movie.

The most recent entry in the series, Spider-Man: No Way Home, grossed $1.921 billion worldwide against a $200 million budget. That film ended with Holland’s Peter Parker having been erased from the memory of the world, including his friends, and returning to street level superheroism. Plot details for the new film have yet to be revealed.
