The official Twitter account for the upcoming Saw sequel Spiral: From the Book of Saw has revealed that the film has moved to May 21, 2021. That’s over a year from when it was originally set to arrive, which was on May 15 of this year.

The film was directed by Darren Lynn Bousman from a script by Josh Stolberg and Peter Goldfinger, based on a story by Chris Rock. Rock is also a star of the film along with Samuel L. Jackson and Max Minghella.

Here’s a synopsis: A sadistic mastermind unleashes a twisted form of justice in Spiral, the terrifying new chapter from the book of SAW. Working in the shadow of an esteemed police veteran (Samuel L. Jackson), brash Detective Ezekiel “Zeke” Banks (Chris Rock) and his rookie partner (Max Minghella) take charge of a grisly investigation into murders that are eerily reminiscent of the city’s gruesome past. Unwittingly entrapped in a deepening mystery, Zeke finds himself at the center of the killer’s morbid game.
