It looks to be snowing more cash over at Disney come late December, as Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is aiming for a start of up to $200 million. THR reports that the final film of the Skywalker saga is currently tracking between $175 million and the $200 million mark.

Those numbers are likely to be a low estimate, it must be said. Tracking gets clearer as we get close to a film’s release, and in the case of highly-anticipated blockbuster that typically means the prediction goes up. For comparison, the tracking numbers are about where the same forecasts were for Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi were. Those films ultimately started with $248 million and $220 million, respectively.

As the site notes, Disney is currently trying to keep expectations from soaring too high due to the volatility of the box office as of late (see: the notable failures of Terminator: Dark Fate, Charlie’s Angels, and Gemini Man among others) and because Jumanji: The Next Level opens the week before Rise of Skywalker and will provide some competition for the film.

Rise of Skywalker opens on December 20th.
