Starz Renews Outlander For Two More Seasons

Starz has given Outlander another two seasons beyond its upcoming fourth one. The premium cable network announced on Wednesday that the fantasy series will return in November and has been renewed for fifth and sixth seasons. Starz President and CEO Chris Albrecht made the announcement.

“Fans can rest assured their beloved Claire and Jamie will be back facing new challenges, adversaries, and adventures in seasons five and six as we delve into American history and continue the story of the Frasers as they settle in the New World,” said Albrecht.

The fourth season is currently filming on location in Scotland and will run thirteen episodes. The series is based on Diana Gabaldon’s international best-selling books. The fifth season will be based on The Fiery Cross, while te sixthb bwill be based on A Breath of Snow and Ashes.
