Steven Spielberg Believes Indiana Jones 5 Will Be Harrison Ford’s Last

Steven Spielberg said in a recent interview that Indiana Jones 5 will likely be Harrison Ford’s last film in the role. Spielberg spoke with The Sun and discussed their plans for the film, which begins shooting in April.

“This will be Harrison Ford’s last Indiana Jones movie, I am pretty sure, but it will certainly continue after that,” Spielberg said.

The Ready Player One director also talked about the idea of a woman stepping into the franchise, saying that he could see it happen. “We’d have to change the name from Jones to Joan. And there would be nothing wrong with that,” he said.

Indiana Jones 5 will be directed by Spielberg, with a script from David Koepp. It’s set for release on July 20th, 2020.
