Stranger Things Season 2

Variety recently spoke to Stranger Things costar David Harbour, who revealed that the show’s creators Matt and Ross Duffer have partially modeled the show’s next season after the 1985 film Fletch, which starred Chevy Chase.

Harbour stated on the subject, “The Duffers are so specific each year with the movies… and Fletch is one movie we get to play around and have some fun with this season, which you wouldn’t expect from Stranger Things… and you certainly wouldn’t expect from a darker season.”

Season 3 will also feature Jake Busey as a journalist for The Hawkins Post named Bruce. Bruce is described as someone with questionable morals and a sick sense of humor. Also, Cary Elwes is set to play the “slick and sleazy” Mayor Kline.

The show will return for its latest season in the summer of 2019. Stranger Things streams exclusively on Netflix.
