Netflix is looking at getting the ball rolling on the fourth season of Stranger Things, with a tentative production start date set. Deadline reports that Netflix has set a start date of September 28th — subject to change of course, depending on the pandemic — for their juggernaut of a series.

The network has declined comment on the story. The show was in the early days of filming earlier this year but had to shut down on March 13th due to the rise of COVID-19. The Duffer Brothers used the break to complete writing on the season. The new season was officially ordered about this time last year and will star Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Joe Keery, Sadie Sink, Winona Ryder, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Cara Buono, David Harbour, Maya Hawke, and Brett Gelman.

The Duffer Brothers have said about the fourth season that Hopper is back, “Although it’s not all good news for our ‘American’; he is imprisoned far from home in the snowy wasteland of Kamchatka, where he will face dangers both human…and other. Meanwhile, back in the states, a new horror is beginning to surface, something long buried, something that connects everything. Season 4 is shaping up to be the biggest and most frightening season yet, and we cannot wait for everyone to see more. In the meantime — pray for the American.”
