Swamp Thing Casts Henderson Wade as Matt Cable

The DC Universe series adaptation of Swamp Thing has cast Henderson Wade to play Matt Cable. Deadline reports that the Riverdale co-star will play the son of Sheriff Lucilia Cable (Jennifer Beals), described as a Louisiana lawman who finds himself in dire straits when supernatural evil threatens the town he’s sworn to protect. Matt is also Abby Arcane’s (Crystal Reed) childhood friend.

Also set to star in the series are Will Patton as Avery Sutherland, Maria Sten as Liz Tremayne, Jeryl Prescott as Madame Xanadu, Virginia Madsen as Maria Sunderland, Derek Mears as the monster version of the titular character and Andy Bean as Alec Holland, the man behind the monster.

The series will launch in 2019 on DC Universe.
