Taika Waititi Gives Update On ‘Insane’ Thor: Love & Thunder Script

Taika Waititi says he’s set to take the next pass at the Thor: Love & Thunder script, and teased a but of the tone. Waititi is writing and set to direct the fourth film in the franchise and spoke with the BBC (courtesy of the r/MarvelStudios subreddit) about the progress of the screenplay.

“I think it’s going to be really good,” he said. “We’ve finished, we’ve been writing the script off and on for over a year and I’m just, actually this week, doing another pass on it. It is so insane and it’s also very romantic. I’m into romances now. I just want to make a romance. I just want to make something that I’ve never done or never cared for. I would like to attack something like that.”

The film is set to star Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, Christian Bale, and Waititi himself as the voice of Korg. It is set to release on February 11th, 2022.
