The Batman Resumes Production, Robert Pattinson Cleared to Return

Robert Pattinson is cleared to return to work after his COVID-19 diagnosis, and The Batman has thus resumed production. Variety reports that filming on the DC movie has begun again in London, with a spokesperson for Warner Bros. Pictures confirming to Variety that “Following a hiatus for COVID 19 quarantine precautions, filming has now resumed on The Batman in the U.K.”

Production on the movie shut down at the start of the month after Pattinsonm reportedly tested positive for the virus. Reps for Pattinson and Warner Bros. never confirmed publicly that the actor was the one that had tested positive.

The film stars Pattinson as the titular character, Paul Dano as the Riddler, Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Colin Farrell as the Penguin, Andy Serkis as Alfred, along with Peter Sarsgaard, John Turturro, and Jeffrey Wright. It is set for release on October 1st, 2021.
