The Raid‘s Iko Uwais In Talks To Star In Snake Eyes

According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Raid star Iko Uwais is in talks to join the cast of the G.I. Joe spinoff Snake Eyes, where he’ll play the titular character’s mentor Hard Master. HM is described as a “tough as nails teacher who is also a skilled sword master.”

The film is being produced by Paramount, Skydance and AllSpark Pictures. Robert Schwentke will direct from a script by Evan Spiliotopoulos. The film will follow Snake Eyes, played here by Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians), as he seeks to avenge the death of his father by joining a ninja clan. The film also stars Andre Koji as Storm Shadow, Snake Eyes’ blood brother and rival. It will be produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Brian Goldner. It shoots in Vancouver and Tokyo this fall.
