Black Adam will not only serve as the big screen debut of the titular character, it will also feature the Justice Society in some form according to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Johnson spoke with Screen Rant for a new interview while promoting the upcoming Jumanji: The Next Level and revealed that the DC superhero team will be “introduced” in the film.

“JSA,” Johnson confirmed. “We will introduce you to that, the world to JSA.”

The Justice Society made its debut in the Golden Age of comics in 1940, and the original members were Doctor Fate, Hour-Man, the Spectre, the Wesley Dodds version of the Sandman, the first Atom, Jay Garrick as the Flash, Alan Scott (aka the original Green Lantern), and Hawkman. They vanished from comics until the Silver Age, when Garrick appeared to team with Barry Allen’s Flash and the JSA were revealed as a group of superheroes on Earth-Two. There have been a lot of Earth-Two superheroes who have members over the years. The JSA also featured in the Arrowverse on The CW, where they were in Legends of Tomorrow as a team from the 1940s.

Johnson also confirmed that there is no planned meeting with Shazam in the first film, saying, Without giving too much away, it’s not in the plans right now. I think the approach that we’re talking I feel really good about, and all of the filmmakers do too as well. It’s an origin story and that’s where we start it and we root it, and then we build out from there. Now, not to say Shazam isn’t on my radar. Of course Shazam is, but so is all of DC.”
