The Rock Says He’s Developing A New Video Game Movie

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is set to bring a new video game adaptation to the big screen. The Red Notice and Black Adam star spoke with Men’s Journal for a new interview and revealed that his Seven Bucks Productions company is developing a new video game movie that will be unveiled sometime this year.

Johnson did not name the game, just noting that “I can’t tell you which game in particular we’re doing, but there will be an announcement this year. We’re going to bring one of the biggest, most badass games to the screen—one that I’ve played for years. I’m really excited to bring it to fans around the world. Of course we’re going to do right by our gamer friends—but really we’re just going to make a great movie.”

Johnson previously starred in the video game movie flop Doom and the more successful Rampage. He has a busy slate coming up with releases of Black Adam, DC League of Super-Pets, Jungle Cruise 2 and a couple of Red Notice sequels on the way.
