Fresh off his success with San Andreas, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is reportedly in talks to tackle a remake of Big Trouble in Little China. The Wrap has the news, reporting that the Great One will produce and star as Jack Burton in the remake of the John Carpenter classic.

Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz (X-Men: First Class) will write the film, which will follow the original’s tale of Burton as a trucker who gets dragged into a centuries-old mystical battle in San Francisco’s Chinatown. While the original — which starred Kurt Russell and Kim Cattrall — was not a hit during its box office run, it became revered afterward thanks to cable TV and home video.

Johnson reportedly pitched the project to Fox, who own the rights, and the studio got on board. Fox did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
