Wow! What a game, right? Can you believe that team won? And what about that play? WooWee! What a night!
Of course for most, the big game is about the commercials instead of the plays on the field and this year had the added pressure of the pandemic we currently find ourselves in.

For those keeping score, Coke, Pepsi, and Budweiser made the decision to not run a commercial this year and the going rate for a 30-second spot was around $5.5 million.

Let’s take a look at some of the more notable ones…

For my money, this commercial for Alexa was a big winner as it was funny and stayed on-brand. It makes breaking your home privacy almost worth it!

Of course I have to add John Cena into the mix as this is 411mania and anything wresting related adds to hits! Looks like Cena is doing just fine.

Chipotle goes thoughtful with their ad spot this year and gives you some nice imagery to think about as you take a bite of one of their burritos and wonder was the guacamole you paid extra for was worth it.
(It was)

Mr. Just-Hosted-SNL and Golden Globe–nominated Schitt’s Creek superstar Dan Levy continues his rise by teaming with M&M’s.

Let’s hear it for nostalgia! Again! We get Mike Myers and Dana Carvey getting back together to pitch for Uber Eats. At this time I’m debating on which catchphrase of theirs I should use to end this but can’t decide on one so I’ll just say, “Yeah, baby!”

Dolly Parton is another celebrity riding a lot of positive press recently and this commercial keeps the good times rolling as Oscar winner Damien Chazelle directs this ad for Squarespace with the 9 to 5 vibe.

Seinfeld star Jason Alexander’s face makes this Tide commercial “clean up” with laughs.

Michelob Ultra Organic Seltzer got a couple of commercials and this one features celebrity doppelgängers of Megan Fox, Serena Williams, Usher, Sylvester Stallone and Lucy Liu. Don’t worry the real Don Cheadle and his lookalike brother appear as well.

Alright, Matthew McConaughey pushes the Doritos brand in 3-D glamour. On a related note, have you read his recent book? A really good read and worth picking up.

This one caught me off guard as Scotts and Miracle-Gro go big with John Travolta and his daughter making a TikTok, Martha Stewart taking care of her tomatoes (not an innuendo), and Stanley from The Office grilling.

OK, I know there were at least another dozen I could have included but let me know the ones we like the most! Who spent their money best?
