It will take longer than expected for The Walking Dead to finish its tenth season, as the season finale will be delayed thanks to the coronavirus. AMC has confirmed to TV Line that the 16th episode has to be pushed out and will air as a special episode, as post-production was unable to be completed in time.

“Current events have unfortunately made it impossible to complete post-production of The Walking Dead Season 10 finale,” an AMC rep said. “So the current season will end with its 15th episode on April 5. The planned finale will appear as a special episode later in the year.”

The delay came shortly after the network delayed the premiere of The Walking Dead: World Beyond from its April 12th release date to later in the year.
