The latest series in AMC’s zombie apocalypse is just three months away, as The Walking Dead: World Beyond is set to bow in April. AMC announced on Thursday that the spinoff series will premiere on April 12th at 10 PM ET/PT, immediately following the season 10 finale of the main Walking Dead series. Subsequent weeks will see the show air Sundays at 9 PM ET/PT.
The new series stars Alexa Mansour, Nicolas Cantu, Hal Cumpston, Julia Ormond, Aliyah Royale and Annet Mahendru and focuses on the first generation brought up following the zombie apocalypse of the series. It is described as follows:
“Two sisters along with two friends leave a place of safety and comfort to brave dangers, known and unknown, living and undead on an important quest. Pursued by those who wish to protect them and those who wish to harm them, a tale of growing up and transformation unfurls across dangerous terrain, challenging everything they know about the world, themselves and each other.”
