Third Cloverfield Film May Be Called Cloverfield Station
As we previously reported, Paramount Pictures has already started promoting the third Cloverfield movie with a viral website. Now eagle-eyed fans have discovered a series of social media accounts and websites that may have revealed the third film’s title. It was previously called God Particle before that was dropped last year.
Fans have discovered accounts on Facebook and Instagram for something called Cloverfield Station. There have also been domains registered for CloverfieldStation.com and CloverfieldStationmovie.com. Meanwhile, a person on Reddit pointed out that FX lighting artist named Rui (Ray) Xu has the film on his LinkedIn credits. It’s still possible, however, that none of this is official and they were simply fan-created.
The film was directed by Julius Onah from a script by Oren Uziel (with Doug Jung doing rewrites). It stars David Oyelowo, John Ortiz, Elizabeth Debicki, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Chris O’Dowd, Ziyi Zhang and Daniel Bruhl.
Here’s a synopsis: The plot for the untitled Cloverfield movie is said to revolve around an American space station that, after an accident with a particle accelerator, suddenly finds that Earth has vanished altogether. Things get stranger when they then pick up traces of another space station nearby.
