Tim Burton In Talks For The Addams Family Live-Action Series

A live-action Addams Family television series is on the way with Tim Burton reportedly in talks to shepherd. Deadline reports that Burton is in talks with MGM to executive produce and potentially direct all episodes of the series, which will be written and showrun by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar (Smallville).

The prospective series is not currently positioned at a network or service, though MGM TV is looking for a home and Netflix is reported as a possibility and in fact is said to be at the top of the list.

The Addams Family has of course been adapted several times from the original creations of Charles Addams, including the two live-action films, and the recent animated film, which has a sequel on the way next year.
