Spider-Man: Far From Home, Jon Watts Michelle (Zendaya) catches a ride from Spider-Man in Columbia Pictures' SPIDER-MAN: ™ FAR FROM HOME.

The third MCU Spider-Man film is set to begin filming this summer, according to Tom Holland. The actor behind the titular character spoke with the Philippine Daily Inquirer and confirmed that the plan to begin filming currently is set for July and that Zendaya will be back.

“I’m super happy about it,” Holland said. “We will be shooting Spider-Man 3 in July in Atlanta. As for me showing up in other Marvel movies, I’m not sure as to what they want me to do… Zendaya will most definitely be in the film. As to the relationship between Peter and MJ, I’m not too sure what it will be.”

This is, of course, assuming that the coronavirus situation has ebbed enough by July for the film to shoot. Assuming that’s the case, the new Spider-Man film will be the third such film produced by Sony and Marvel, and the follow-up to Spider-Man: Far From Home. The third film is scheduled for release on July 16th, 2021.
