Leprechaun Returns

Syfy has released the first trailer for their upcoming film Leprechaun Returns, which is a direct sequel to the 1993 original and ignores every other sequel in the series. So it’s like this year’s Halloween, but with the Leprechaun. Mark Holton will be back as Ozzie. It will be directed by Stephen Kostanski (The Void) from a script by Suzanne Keilly (Ash vs. Evil Dead). It also stars Taylor Spreitler as Lila, Pepi Sonuga as Katie, Sai Bennett as Rose, Linden Porco as the leprechaun, Emily Reid as Meredith, Oliver Llewellyn-Jenkins as Matt, and Ben McGregor as Andy. It will debut December 11 on digital and on demand.

Here’s a synopsis: The film picks up 25 years after the events of the 1993 original, which found a maniacal leprechaun doing whatever it takes (including committing gruesome murder) to track down his stolen pot of gold. The leprechaun menaced Tory Redding (Jennifer Aniston) until he was finally defeated by shooting a four-leaf clover down his throat. Leprechaun Returns finds the leprechaun revived in the modern day when a group of sorority girls unwittingly awaken him while tearing down a cabin to build a new sorority house.
