TV Reboot of Roald Dahl’s Tales of the Unexpected in Development

The Ink Factor is developing a reboot of Roald Dahl’s anthology series Tales of the Unexpected. Deadline reports that the series, which ran on ITV in the UK from 1979 through 1988, will be developed by Ink Factory (The Night Manager) in collaboration with the Road Dahl Story Company. Claire Wilson, Tom Basden and Ella Hickson are all on board to write episodes.

The original series told a stories in an episode anthology format based on Dahl’s short stories, featuring the renowned genre writer at the end of each episode.
